Incorporated in 2003 and headquartered in Mumbai, it is recognised as a Market Infrastructure Institution focused on transparent price discovery and risk management for farmers, FPOs, hedgers and financial investors.
The group operates through entities such as National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) and NCDEX Institute of Commodity Markets & Research (NICR), which handle clearing and market education. Strategically, NCDEX positions itself as India’s leading agri-risk platform while preparing to diversify into equities and equity-derivatives, backed by marquee domestic investors and a long trading track record.
